The new bike course for Challenge Venice was designed to celebrate the 100 anniversary of Porto Marghera the bike course was design to discover this Industiral Park, part of the history of Venice.The course will leave the Parco San Giuliano to go through Mestre and into the Port of Venice for around 9.4 km, and after there will be a circuit of around 22.6 km that the athletes of the Full distance will do for 7 times and the participants to the VLD for 5 times. The course is very fast and basically flat wth no elevation
At the end of the last lap the athletes will ride back to the Park on the same road. There will be aid station every 22 km in the crcuit and the course will be close to the traffic.
The time limit for swim+bike (as in the rules and regulation) will be 9 hours (3.30 pm) and there will be a stop for all the athletes that will not start the last lap of the circuit (around 142 km in the course, tha means an average speed of less that 23 km/h) after 2.30 pm, and they will be sent directly to the Park.
There will be also a bus that will bring the spectators from Parco San Giuliano to the bike circuit (just few kn) to have the possibility to see the transit of all the athletes for few hours, before to bring back the spectators to the Parco San Giuliano. The ticket for the bus will be available at the registration desk friday and saturday of the event. It will be also possible to drive indipendently to the circuit .
